Red Bull on the NDSM

Red Bull Netherlands will establish its new headquarters in 'De Smederij' on the NDSM-wharf in Amsterdam-Noord. As they announced today, the energy drinks company is planning to rent the redeveloped sheds of 'De Smederij'. The design for the project, which will be developed by Biesterbos Planontwikkeling,  was made by GROUP A in 2008. 'De Smederij' is located alongside the former carpenter's workshop that currently houses MTV Networks. The complex covers 7800 square meters, including space for creative businesses, a hotel and restaurants.

The project will be developed in three phases; the sheds, which will house the headquarters of Red Bull (930 square meters) will be the first phase to be developed. According to Red Bull, the new headquarters shall be fitted out with an unusual and spectacular interior. Construction will start in January 2010, one year later the company will open its doors.
